Well, hey there everyone. Sorry for the delay in getting these pics posted. It's already mid-May, and April came and went far too quickly for me to keep up.
It was a month of major adjustments in our household. On April 16th, I traded my jeans and t-shirts for khakis and button-ups and rejoined the world of the employed. No more chasing after Tommy, toting a diaper bag and snacks around to playgroups, parks, pools and preschool. I've enjoyed the most incredible, fulfilling three years since I took on the role as his primary caregiver. Now life is shifting for me, as I provide for my family in a different way than I've gotten used to. And for Tommy, as he takes on his role as a big brother to Olive. And for EZ, as she settles into the rhythm of caring for two little ones all day, every day. We're so happy to have each other and the support and love of our family and friends. For all of us, becoming a family of four has been an adventure full of wonderful, mind-boggling, funny, challenging, heart-warming moments. It's everything we thought it would be.
So, without further ado, here are some of those moments from the month of April...

It's so fun to run around with a bomb-pop. That sugar kicks in quick! |
Some folks just weren't made for carousel rides. |
Tommy's black bat mask from Halloween got a bit beat up, but luckily, he got a replacement and became a scary golden bat! |
Olive has gotten into a very smiley phase lately. It's adorable! |
Hanging with the cousins in Richmond. |
Cappuccino lover. |
Pizza at 2 Amy's. |
A rare full family photo. |
Easter at Old City Green. |
Headed out to Great Falls for some hiking and falls-viewing. |
More carouseling. |
Take Me Out To The Ballgame - walking to Nats Park for Opening Day! |
We waited in line for Shake Shack for so long we missed about 4 innings. It was worth it! |
Shrimp soup with Lola. This is her favorite meal when she comes to visit, and Tommy just loves to share it with her. |
See? What'd I tell you about those smiles? |
At Shlagel Farms to play and pick strawberries. |
That's right. Adorable. |
Granny and Pop took the train up, and we strolled through Old Town. Tommy can't stand to take off his new space shuttle pajamas, and bonus - they glow in the dark! |
Then we took the water taxi over to National Harbor. |
My second day on the job, and the space shuttle Discovery makes its final flight over DC. Tommy and his schoolmates saw it near the Capitol. EZ saw it while parked in the car in Capitol Hill. I missed it :( But this picture makes me happy! |
