Our Kind of Town, Chicago Is

The beginning of July found us in Chicago to attend cousin Myra's wedding. Myra and her (now) husband Alain were perfect hosts, and the Hilton-Chicago provided the perfect backdrop for a weekend full of fun and family.

The plane ride started off ominously, with little T-Bone in a bad mood.

But that all changed when he decided to play dentist on Papa's teeth...

T explores the luxurious bathroom accommodations at the Hilton. The shiny gold fixtures in the tub drew him in there every time he saw them. He loves the bling...

We headed out to the Navy Pier with the Ratanas and Kevin. Lots of fun rides and games out there, and great views of the city and Lake Michigan as well.

After stuffing our faces at Taste of Chicago, we hit the hotel pool and met up with Lola who had arrived that day.

Tita Libbie got a hold of the boy during the Eatapalooza (Chicago deep-dish pizza and Italian beef sandwiches, courtesy of the bride and groom). If we had let her, she would have held him the whole weekend and then taken him home to Toronto.

Tommy and Mailia (with mommy Minda) both got a lot of attention as the littlest ones on the Heraldo side of the family, and deservedly so, they're definitely a couple of cuties.

Tita Liz had Tommy duty during the wedding, while CC, EZ, and Lola all took part in the ceremony. We didn't hear a peep out of him the whole time.

At the reception with Tita Kelley and cousin Elena.

With cousin Grayson.

With cousin Calvin, who was so sweet to Tommy.

Tommy shows Elena his moves on the dance floor.

Two cousins and their boys. Tommy displays his midriff for all to see...

The Carlton family photo. T had already passed out from all the partying.

And at the end of the night, Tita Libbie holds the sleeping boy again. All is well.
